The JPS Legacy Libraries

Share the intellectual and spiritual rewards of Jewish learning by sponsoring the creation or enhancement of a Jewish library. The gift of a JPS Legacy Library is meaningful and magnificent in so many ways-it's an extraordinary way to serve the greater Jewish community by contributing a core collection of Jewish Bibles and commentaries, as well as works on Jewish history, ethics, ritual and practice to nonprofit organizations in need around the world.

The Miles Lerman Memorial Library of Jewish Values

Miles Lerman was known for his heroism as a partisan during World War II, for his extraordinary fundraising achievements—he directed the campaign to raise $190 million to build the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, and also raised money to erect a memorial in Belzec, Poland (the concentration camp where his mother died)—and for his humanitarianism. In his memory, JPS is proud to offer this collection as a giving opportunity.

All Library Collections are comprised of titles pre-selected by JPS.
